Mighty Probe - Insulated Soil Probe

The best insulated soil probe available, period. This probe can also be combined with the Slide Adapter to create a mini slide hammer probe.

The steel shaft, tip, and handle are threaded allowing easy replacement or for adding additional extensions.

This probe was tested up to 50,000 volts following ASTM F711-89 testing procedures, by an independent testing lab. It was also both dry and 48 hour water soaked tested up to 45,000 volts by a major utility company.

Slide Adapter

Convert your Mighty Probe or Striking Head Probe (w/SAA) into a mini-slide hammer probe. Now you can pound your way through those extremely difficult spots.

All striking pieces are manufactured from high strength, impact resistant tool steel. This steel is designed for minimal distortion and is also used in tooling for large punch presses and chisels.

The slide adapter is positioned and threaded between the handle of your probe and the shaft to create a tight fitting well integrated tool.

Extreme Duty Hammer Probe

The integrated slide hammer makes driving this probe into the hard ground easier and is more effective than striking a probe with a maul.

The sliding head has been specifically designed to reduce the risk of injury by minimizing the number of pinch points.

Comfortable 16" long handles are made from 1 diameter steel tubing allowing ample room for the hands. The dual handles (spread 7 1/2" apart) provide greater control and improved ergonomics.

All internal pieces of the head assembly are manufactured from high strength,  impact resistant tool steel. This steel is designed for minimal distortion, ensuring a long lasting probe.

The tips are heat-treated alloy steel and create a clearance open- ing for the 1/2" shafts.

The Slide Hammer is powder coated a bright blue for high visibility and a long lasting finish.

Heat Treated Tips

The Tips are made of high strength alloy steel and are heat-treated for added durability. Tapered edges make penetration and withdrawal easier. The Ball Nose Tip has a slightly rounded nose for delicate probing opera- tions such as: fiber optics, gas transmission lines, water lines, and others utilities.
